There is something distinctly cool about denim. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that you can wear it dyed, distressed, studded, tied, torn, tucked, cropped, casual or even formal (and the list goes on). The truth is denim is a true wardrobe essential and something you can never have enough of. There is a reason iconic designer, Yves Saint Laurent, once said "I have often said that I wish I had invented blue jeans: the most spectacular, the most practical, the most relaxed and nonchalant. They have expression, modesty, sex appeal, simplicity - all I hope for in my clothes." The designer is completely correct, denim has the magical ability to have it all and nothing at the same time, it can be as basic or as bejewelled as you want it to be making it extremely versatile and something any fashionista can become best friends with.
